This course will cover some of the many ways in which cataract surgery can be delivered to meet a patient’s needs and visual goals. More than ever, technology, lenses, and surgical techniques available today offer the capabilities to deliver a procedure specifically suited for an individual, and now with the Light Adjustable Lens, precise outcomes. Discussion on IOL selection and new technologies will be included.

Michael Greenwood, MD, is a Refractive, Cornea, Glaucoma, and Advanced Cataract surgeon at Vance Thompson Vision in Fargo, ND. He received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota, completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and then did a 1-year fellowship in advanced anterior segment surgery at Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD. He has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and has presented nationally and internationally. He lives in Fargo, ND with his wife, Heidi, and daughter, Quincy, and enjoys hockey, running, and spending time with family.
