About the Speaker

Gabby Marshall, OD, FCOVD

Owner, Elemental Eyecare

Gabby Marshall, OD, FCOVD, has been practicing in Bend for 20 years after receiving her optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. She opened Elemental Eyecare in 2008 in order to specialize in pediatrics and vision rehabilitation after getting her feet wet for nine years in full-scope primary care and realizing that despite loving absolutely everything about optometry, her passion was really in helping kids and providing VT. The other passion that Dr. Marshall has is to teach and help others have successful and happy clinics. In addition to mentoring colleagues through their COVD fellowship process, the clinic and lead vision therapist offers training for therapists and doctors in vision therapy. She also lectures regularly for community organizations, schools, and ancillary professionals like physical therapists, occupational therapists, and naturopathic physicians. Dr. Marshall was awarded the Young OD of the Year from the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association in 2001 and received her fellowship from COVD in 2011. She is currently the chair of the COVD insurance committee, the AOA Federal Advocacy Representative for Oregon, and serves as Immediate past president on the OOPA board of directors. In her spare time, since she retired from race car driving, she enjoys gardening and spending time in the beautiful Central Oregon outdoors.
