Session 8: Orbit for the OD

Presenter: Alison Bozung, OD, FAAO

This lecture will review orbital anatomy and provide a guideline for appropriate clinical evaluation of orbital pathology. Orbital imaging techniques will also be reviewed. Cases will provide real-world examples including the clinical presentation of orbital disease, management, and follow up.

About the Speaker

Alison Bozung, OD, FAAO

Optometrist, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute

Alison Bozung, OD, FAAO, is an optometrist at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, seeing patients primarily in the Ophthalmic Emergency Department. She also serves as co-director of the optometric student externship program. Prior to joining BPEI, she was a clinical assistant professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, practicing in the Cornea and External Disease as well as Comprehensive Ophthalmology services. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Upon graduation, she completed a residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
